You On a Monday Morning…

It has been awhile since I last dreamt of you

I wonder what brought me up again this instance

When love, hate, and longing is back,

Missing you now,

A lot.

In my dream…

I saw you with someone else,

Trudging the road where everybody else

All smiling and laughing, his arms on your shoulder

Kept you close to him,

I am in the background

Doesn’t matter.

Oh, how magnificent news could it be,

To hear you parted ways with him, permanently

The borrowed time we have together,

Could we make it last forever?

A big NO you would say,

That would never happen,

In my dismay

Your heart’s been broken by his arrogance

Can you let me fix it,

Give me the chance?

I will understand no matter how hurtful your decision may be,

For I know, A friend, that’s all you want me to be

But this poor fellow will always be here for you

Just turn around, remember

You can lean on me too.

Just a Candle

I don’t know if I would be happy

Just to be picked up when there’s no electricity

No other source of light

When it’s dark, in the night.

Don’t I deserve to be with you when you’re happy?

When you are at your best, in utter joy and glee

Don’t I deserve the same feeling?

Not to be left out like this

Doing nothing

I know I let myself to be like this

Just a candle you can find as you please

At least, while you’re down

I can help erase that frown

I should just be contented this way, maybe

Someday I’ll be at your altar, standing idly

When my wax is over and too small

It might be over for us, after all

I’m just a candle.

I am limited

my time is numbered

But don’t be sad

I’ll be glad

To see you smiling

Despite the problems

you are facing.

Fairly Unfair

A man with all the riches

No wife, hiring bitches

A lady all flowing with beauty

Dumb, unrefined, damaged

What a pity

A boy with all the gadgets

Gets what all he wants

Never had any friends

Plays alone, always rants

A blind man good  at guitars

A young boy eager to learn

A blind man wants to see

A young boy wants the strings

Each other, they envy

Oh what a mystery

Life leaves you in reality

Everyone is created in equality

We just have to see

Sometimes life in unfair

And is unjust

But fairly equal

Differently equal

Fairly just.
