The Best Love Story Ever

Sacrifice is the biggest expression of love.

There was this man I knew named G who took care of Ea as she was orphaned. He clothed her, gave her food, everything she wanted. She brought her up to goodness. However, as Ea grew up, she gave up to temptations. She rebelled and went with all the worldly addiction. Alcohol, smoking, drugs are just mild as she went to murder, adultery, stealing and other crimes. She became as dark as the night. She was hopeless herself.

It all changed when she met JC. JC sheltered her during that very moment when all was gone. When the thrill of doing crime has expired and all she felt is self-pity and despair. JC picked her up from the pieces of brokenness. And he made her whole again.

However, the devil who has rooted in her held strong. And temptation bit her with venom. She came back to her old lousy life. JC persisted on reaching out to her. He never lost sight of her. Though she never turns her back, she knew deep inside her heart, JC was there.

All of Ea’s friends condemned their relationship. They said how foolish is JC for loving someone like Ea. And that JC is slowly pulling Ea away from them. So, one night, they befriended JC; told him to patch things up and start over. JC was glad, though doubting as to their sudden shift of attitude.  Little did JC knew that they were planning to kill him.

Ea did knew about the plan. But she just let it happen. Peer pressure has weighed heavier than her concern for JC. She wanted to prove she can live without him and that she is strong.

They set up the kill. Ea called up JC to meet with him. She turned her back as her gang beat up JC to death. At that moment, conscience overtook her. She walked towards JC, lying on the floor, bruised and lifeless. She cried and cried.

Then she noticed a letter on JC’s pocket. It was his last message to her. In the letter she found out JC knew that they’d kill him. She was blank for a second. All the more when she found out JC was G’s true son.

She went to find G. JC’s death paved the way for Ea and G’s reconciliation. Ea found G in the cemetery, now in a tomb. There, Ea asked for forgiveness. She thanked G for all he has done to her. She felt sorry for herself but very blessed that she got to meet him as her father. Though Ea never had a chance to talk with G, she felt whole again. She felt loved and protected.

She lived her life the way G wanted it to be. She helped others and inspired many. She became a living testament of how much great love a person can get if only he opens his eyes to see the reality of it.

Does this sound familiar?

Oh well,

Ea = Earthlings

JC and G are ‘one’.

Got it? No other love story can beat that right?

It’s such a shame how rock solid we are sometimes. We forget to see love is around us. Though it may not be through a lover or a special someone, love is there. Because love is everything.

John 3:16–21“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (NIV)
