In Poetry

You don’t need to let every line rhyme,

As long as you feel every word you give

For no one gives anyone a dime

Just for the words they read.

You don’t need to use the words, archaic

To let the the words appear more dramatic

Because lines coming from the heart of thee

Will surely give the touch and feel.

You don’t need to end with propositions,

To express what you are trying to

It might be pleasing to look at

Or easy to read on.

You don’t need to use simile

As simple as a white paper

Like a white rose in bloom

Your poem can brighten the room

You don’t need to use metaphors

Flowery words or genius jokes

Nor free flowing prose

Just to impress the readers and be exposed

Express yourself in ways you want to

Show them the real you

Use simple words, your own understanding

Speak out without limits, never ending.

Be real. Spill it. What do you think?
